Sono state presentate poco fa le nomination per gli Emmy Awards 2012, come sempre ci sarà qualcuno soddisfatto, qualcun altro invece indignato.
All’alba, o quasi, sono stati svelati i nomi delle candidature per le principali categorie della 64^edizione degli Emmy Awards. Ospiti per quest’annuncio sono stati Kerry Washington di Scandal e Jimmy Kimmel, in sostituzione di Nick Offerman, che si è presentato in pigiama visto l’orario.
Anche quest’anno Modern Family intasa le varie categorie, in particolare le categorie attore e attrice non protagonista di una comedy, con ben 6 nomination tra attori e attrici. Ha ricevuto anche la candidatura come miglior comedy, per un bottino complessivo di 14 nomination in totale. Le due serie Girls e Veep, invece, sono le novità di quest’anno nella categoria miglior comedy. Altra novità è anche la nomination di Mayim Bialik come miglior attrice non protagonista di una comedy, che interpreta Amy Farrah Fowler in The Big Bang Theory. Ancora una volta rimane quasi a bocca asciutta Community, che riceve una piccola nomination nella categoria miglior sceneggiatura per l’episodio Remedial Chaos Theory.
Sul lato drama, ben 16 sono le nomination in totale per Downton Abbey, tra cui anche quella per miglior serie drama. Sono 17, invece, le nomination per l’acclamata serie Mad Men, e 17 anche per la serie di FX American Horror Story. Breaking Bad, che torna dopo la pausa dell’anno scorso, ottiene ben 13 candidature. Nessuna candidatura nè possibile statuetta per la serie House e per il suo attore protagonista Hugh Laurie. La storia dell’amatissimo show medical si chiude dunque così, senza la possibilità di un’ultima soddisfazione.
Per la felicità dei tanti fan, Sherlock è stato nominato sia nella categoria miglior miniserie che in quella di attore protagonista.
