Emmy 2013: chi è il vero vincitore?

Presentata da Neil Patrick Harris, l’edizione di quest’anno degli Emmy Awards ha visto molte serie televisive ricevere dei riconoscimenti. Nessuna tra i drama e le comedy ha prevalso staccando le altre.

Il premio come migliore serie drammatica se lo aggiudica, dopo quattro tentativi andati a vuoto, Breaking Bad, in quello che per molti è il ciclo di episodi peggiore della serie targata AMC, ovvero quello della prima parte della quinta stagione.

Il cast di Breaking Bad festeggia la vittoria.

Il secondo riconoscimento per questa serie lo porta a casa Anna Gunn nella categoria di migliore attrice non protagonista. Mentre gli altri tre premi per la recitazione nei drama vanno a Jeff Daniels come attore protagonista in The Newsroom, a Claire Danes (Homeland), per la seconda volta migliore attrice protagonista e a Bobby Cannavale come attore non protagonista nella terza stagione di Boardwalk Empire.

Come migliore comedy esce vincitrice ancora una volta Modern Family che però non riesce ad aggiudicarsi nessun premio per la recitazione nonostante le tante nomination.

Lo scettro come miglior attore protagonista torna in mano a Jim Parsons, aka Sheldon Cooper di The Big Bang Theory, la migliore attrice non protagonista è Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie), mentre VEEP si aggiudica i due premi per migliore attrice protagonista e miglior attore non protagonista rispettivamente con Julia Louis-Dreyfus e Tony Hale.

Nella categorie delle miniserie o film esce vittorioso Behind the Candelabra; il film HBO si porta a casa i riconoscimenti come migliore miniserie o film e migliore attore protagonista (Michael Douglas). Gli altri premi vanno a James Cromwell, miglior attore non protagonista per American Horror Story, a Laura Linney, miglior attrice protagonista per The Big C ed infine a Ellen Burstyn, miglior attrice non protagonista per Political Animals.

Tra i grandi assenti fra i vincitori nelle categorie più importanti si notano House of CardsGame of ThronesDownton Abbey.
