Si è tenuta stanotte la 40° edizione dei People’s Choice Awards, i riconoscimenti alle serie e agli attori più rappresentativi dell’anno secondo il pubblico.
La cerimonia di premiazione è stata trasmessa da CBS e presentata dalle star della serie 2 Broke Girls Kat Dennings e Beth Behrs. Mattatori della serata (se così si può dire) gli show The Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife, Castle, Beauty and the Beast e The Vampire Diaries, vincitori di (ben!) due premi a testa. Con tutto il rispetto parlando, il quintetto di vincitori appena indicato è un buon indicatore per capire quanto (poco) questi premi rispecchino l’effettiva qualità delle serie o degli attori. Come vedrete, infatti, avrete modo di storcere il naso per le scelte effettuate dal popolo.

Quindi, che ne pensate? Avete storto anche voi un bel po’ il nasino? Solo per fare un esempio: avete visto la rosa dei candidati per l’attore in una nuova serie? E avete visto chi ha vinto? E ancora: Rick Grimes prima di Walter White o Jaime Lannister? Davvero?! Almeno la serie di cui sentiremo maggiormente la mancanza l’hanno azzeccata.
Lungi dall’essere solamente critici vogliamo vedere anche gli aspetti positivi della cerimonia di premiazione. E qui, più che i pochi riconoscimenti condivisibili, è d’obbligo citare la gag d’apertura dove le madrine della serata interagiscono con alcuni colleghi nominati ai premi e, come in una virtuale staffetta per il timone della cerimonia, ricevono il testimone dalla presentatrice della scorsa edizione, Kaley Cuoco. Una scenetta assolutamente da non perdere e che vi invitiamo a visualizzare nel video sottostante.
